We travelled from Scarborough and set the SatNav, we were apprehensive about travelling there because we thought it was in York centre which is a nightmare to get to. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the shop was outside of York and very easy and straightforward to get to. Upon arrival we were greeted and taken into the display area were there was a track. It was an excellent set up. We chatted about the type of bike I was after, what I hoped to get from it. I tried a couple of trikes and selected the one I liked, Test drove it around the track, the advisor was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. A fab experience all told. My trike and accessories were delivered as promised approx 3 weeks later.
With my disability and my recovery of suffering sciatica for over six months,as a 83year old I was seriously thinking about buying an exercise bike to get my leg muscles back to something like normal a good friend of mine told me about Jorvik tricycles and so he offered to take me to York… arrived there at 0945 and was made most welcome and offered coffee and biscuits before the business discussion… I tested 5 or 6 different tricycles before deciding which one was for me, through all of this nothing was too much trouble to the extent that there was a modified pedal put on the left side as I have restricted bend on my left knee… my tricycle was delivered yesterday and I felt like a child waking up on Christmas morning and can’t wait for my latest adventure… I will celebrate my 84th birthday on 2nd October and just PRAISE THE LORD that there are companies today that care,well done all the team at York.
I drove to York to see Jorvik cycles specifically because they had an indoor track where I could try out the different models and because they were a British company ...
I was not disappointed. From the moment I stepped in the door I was looked after by the owner James. His patience and knowledge of his products is outstanding.
The quality of his tricycles is fantastic, he listened to my needs and let me take the time I needed to choose the right model. There is finance options for purchase and at no time did I feel pressure to buy anything.
