Our big charity giveaway: Introducing the winners
At Jorvik Tricycles, we believe everyone should have the chance to experience the joy cycling can bring, making their world feel bigger with every ride. Whatever your ability or budget, we want to help as many people as possible get onto three wheels.
That’s why we were delighted to launch our community tricycle giveaway, giving charities and community organisations across the UK the chance to win one of our electric tricycles to support the important work that they do.
After receiving entries from organisations across the country, we selected three worthy winners: Shopmobility York, Monty’s Bike Hub in Southampton and Cycling 4 All in Wrexham.
Each organisation has been awarded one of our tricycles worth £1,000, which can now be used to support people in their local communities.
Three tricycles, three amazing community organisations
We asked charities and community organisations to nominate themselves for the giveaway, with winners being picked based on the difference each organisation makes in its community, how a Jorvik Tricycle could support the work they’re doing and how it would contribute to the wider aims of the organisation.
While each of our winners works in a different community and has its own goals, they all share something very important: a desire to help more people enjoy the benefits of cycling.
Introducing the winners
Shopmobility York

Shopmobility York supports people who have mobility difficulties, helping them get out and about and remain independent in their local community.
Their new tricycle will provide another practical option to continue supporting the organisation's work and help people experience the benefits that alternative forms of cycling can offer.
Monty’s Bike Hub, Southampton

Based in Southampton, Monty’s Bike Hub works within the local community to encourage people to get involved with cycling.
Their tricycle will become another useful resource for the organisation, helping them continue their work and reach more people within the Southampton area.
We love seeing organisations use cycling in creative and practical ways, and we are looking forward to seeing where this tricycle takes them next.
Cycling 4 All, Wrexham

Cycling 4 All provides inclusive cycling opportunities across North Wales and the border counties, helping people of different abilities experience the benefits of getting out on two or three wheels.
Trustee Karen Balmer says that this will help the charity reach more disabled and disadvantaged people.
The tricycle will become part of Cycling 4 All's existing fleet, helping them continue their work to make cycling available to more people, which is what we’re all about!
Helping more people discover the joy of cycling
For us, this giveaway was about more than giving away tricycles. It was about supporting organisations that are already making a difference and giving them another tool to help people in their communities.
Whether you’re looking for a little extra support, want to regain confidence on a bike, or simply prefer the comfort and practicality of a tricycle, there are lots of reasons why three wheels can make a difference.
Our buying guide is a useful place to start if you would like to find out more about how they work and who they could suit.
A Shared Passion for More Inclusive Cycling
Shopmobility York, Monty’s Bike Hub and Cycling 4 All each have a unique and important role within their communities, and their work reflects something we feel strongly about at Jorvik: that cycling should be something that as many people as possible can enjoy.
From One Family Tricycle to a Growing Community
Giving back to our communities is particularly meaningful to us because of where we began.
What began as a way of helping his own family eventually grew into a business dedicated to creating alternative cycling options for people who may find a conventional bicycle isn't quite right for them.
Today, that same idea remains at the heart of what we do. Our tricycles offer support as we create practical, comfortable, and enjoyable ways for people to get out and about on three wheels.
And while our tricycles are designed to help individuals enjoy greater freedom and independence, we also love seeing them become part of something bigger. That is exactly what we hope will happen with the tricycles awarded through our community giveaway.
Making a difference in our communities
The new tricycles are now heading out into their communities, where they will support these three worthy organisations doing something really special.
For us, there is no better result than knowing a Jorvik Tricycle could help someone get outside, spend time with others, discover a new sense of confidence or simply enjoy the feeling of being out on a bike.
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who entered our giveaway and, of course, a very big congratulations to Shopmobility York, Monty’s Bike Hub and Cycling 4 All.
