What size tricycle is best for adults?

All of our adult tricycle frames are relatively the same size but have adjustable handlebars and saddles to accommodate different users' heights.

What difference does wheel size make on an adult tricycle?

Wheel size can make a difference in how it feels to ride an adult tricycle. Smaller adult tricycle wheels would be a better choice for those who are less confident at cycling. They’re typically less intimidating and because of their lower centre of gravity provide a more controlled riding experience with less risk of tipping or falling.

Larger wheel adult tricycles are better for those who are more confident when cycling, or on mountain tricycles. All of our mountain trikes have 24-inch wheels, here are a few different reasons why:

• More traction when cycling on loose surfaces

• Better at absorbing shocks and vibrations, providing a more comfortable ride when cycling on rough terrain

• Gives the tricycle frame better ground clearance to avoid hitting the ground or any obstacles

Our JET-E range is available with both 20-inch wheels and 24-inch wheels. The smaller wheel size on these electric trikes is most popular among commuters and those who travel a lot with their adult tricycle. The smaller wheel size makes them easier to transport and manoeuvre.

Do adult tricycles have weight restrictions?

Although our tricycles are heavy-duty and are suitable for plus-size adults, there is a maximum user weight for our adult tricycles. Our JET-E range has a maximum user weight of 120kg, and our mountain trikes have a maximum user weight of around 130kg.
